MEET OUR PHYSICIAN
Welcome to the Texas Kidney Center, an interfaith centered medical practice where evidence meets the absolute truth and mindfulness meets daily living. As your physician, my hope is to provide you with the tools needed to pave your path to optimal wellness.
I have been practicing as a Houston-based, board-certified nephrologist in the Texas Medical Center since 2003, but my journey began long before that. On a trip to India during the summer before staring high school, I realized my purpose in life was to help people. After returning home to the United States, the decision to become a doctor came very naturally to me.
In 1994, I received my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Although it may seem unusual for a doctor to have an engineering degree, my technical background helps me understand the human body from a practical and creative perspective. After all, the human body is the ultimate prototype of engineering design!
After graduating from college, I attended the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where I completed my medical degree in 1998, my internal medicine residency in 2001, and my nephrology fellowship in 2003. Since then, my practice has evolved into a place where healing happens through a compassionate and comprehensive relationship between the physician and the patient.
I am very passionate about health and take my Hippocratic oath extremely seriously. My hope is that after a visit with me, you will feel empowered, educated, and eager to take charge of your kidneys!
